Learn the art of macrame and weaving in one inspiring experience.
Discover the perfect fusion of structure and texture with this remarkable beginner-friendly Macraweave Wall Hanging Workshop, led by fiber artist Angela Tchang of Free & Fibre. This workshop teaches you to combine the precision of macrame knots with the rich depth of woven fibers to create a one-of-a-kind wall hanging that brings movement, softness, and natural beauty to any space.
What is Macraweave?
Macraweave is a hybrid fiber art that blends macrame and weaving. You’ll use classic macrame knots to build a foundation and then weave in fibers like Corriedale wool roving, yarn, or cotton to add depth, contrast, and color. The result is a textured, freeform wall hanging full of character.

What You'll Learn
- How to set up your workspace and anchor your cords
- Foundational knots: lark's head, square knots, double half hitch, and more
- Weaving techniques: sumac weave, plain weave, and fringe blending
