A drum carder turns wool and other fibers into batts that are ready to spin or felt. This collection includes the Louet Junior, Standard, XL, and electric drum carders, each offered with a choice of carding cloth, plus the Majacraft Fusion Engine.
Choose capacity and cloth for your fiber
Start with the carding cloth. It's measured in teeth per inch (TPI). A higher TPI suits fine fibers like merino and alpaca, and a lower TPI handles coarser wools and textured art batts. Then think about how much fiber you'll prep. A wider drum makes larger batts, and an electric model lets you work through big batches faster than cranking by hand. Each listing shows what tools come in the box and how the carder sets up.
