Lofty Fibers Euroflax linen and cotton yarn

Lofty Fibers makes Euroflax, a wet-spun linen yarn loved by knitters and weavers, along with a line of Lofty cotton yarns. Euroflax comes in 14/2 lace weight, 14/4 sport weight, and 16/1 and 30/2 lace weights, in 100g skeins and 4 to 8 oz cones. The cotton side includes 8/2 and 8/4 cones plus fingering and worsted weight bouclé.

What to know before you work with linen

Linen is strong, cool to wear, and has very little stretch, so it's a favorite for summer tops, towels, and table linens. It feels crisp at first and softens with every wash, so don't judge the fabric until you've washed your swatch. For knitting, a 100g skein is plenty for a sample or small accessory. For weaving, a cone gives you the yardage for a long warp without joins. The cotton bouclé adds a looped, squishy texture that works well for dishcloths, baby blankets, and weft.
