Corriedale wool roving

Corriedale is a medium-grade wool that's soft, springy, and easy to work with, one of the most forgiving fibers for learning to spin and one of the fastest to felt. Shop Corriedale combed top in solid dyed colors, our dyed Corriedale Collection bundles, and carded Corriedale sliver variety packs like Animal Classics, Autumn Harvest, Deep Sea, Fairytale Pastels, Frutti, and Furry Friends.

Combed top or carded sliver?

Combed top has fibers lined up in one direction. It drafts smoothly and spins into sleek, even yarn. Carded sliver has fibers going every which way, which makes it airy and fluffy. It spins into lofty, woolen-style yarn and felts very quickly, so it's a favorite for needle felting and wet felting. Beginners do well with either, and many spinners keep both on hand.
